How do you read the book? I loved this book! Just shows that books are not produce and they live on. America is not the land of opportunity they had hoped. She often co-writes with John Luis Beatty Lupita and her oldest brother, Salvador, are sent north to Indio, California where Aunt Consuelo lives in hopes that they can earn enough money to pay back the loan.
Lupita was too optimistic, and Salvador too bitchy.
